Episode 6: Starragaar Awakens

Rillon Cottage, Days Later…

STARRAGAAR AWAKENS in the strange bedroom. She clutches her head as she is still in a lot of pain. At first, her vision is blurry. Everything in the strange bedroom is fuzzy. Then, after a few moments, Starragaar’s sight starts to become clearer. At her feet sleeps Sebasti. She screams when she sees the brawker. Sebasti jumps as Vanolin, Tara, and Janeeri enter the room.

“This has got to be a dream or I’m in hell,” Starragaar mutters trying to clear her head and focus on where she is.

“Neither, love,” Janeeri says softly to her. “You crash landed here about a week ago, Starragaar.”

I lost a week?!? She though to herself.

“Your voice,” she says looking up at Janeeri as Sebasti jumps back up on the bed at her feet. “It’s soothing and familiar. You took care of me?”

“That I did.”

“And this is?” she asks as Sebasti comes closer to Starragaar.

“This be Sebasti, my brawker.”

“Brawker?”

“Well, canus doi-tailius, actually. Brawker, for short.” Janeeri replies.

“Someone I know well was here, too. I remember hearing his voice. I believe that he told you my name.” Starragaar says sitting up and petting Sebasti on the top of his head. Sebasti’s two tails wag wildly.

“Ah, that Gavin did, love,” Janeeri tells her. “My name is Janeeri; this is my brother Vanolin, and our friend Tara.”

“So Gavin’s here? Where?”

“Prisoner at Darkwind Keep,” Vanolin states. “I was sent to get help.”

“I believe that I can help,” Starragaar says, then, looks under the covers at herself. “But, um, let me get dressed first.”

Tara, then, turns on the Rillon brothers and shoves them out of the room. “Out with you two. I will help her. It’s a girl thing.”

Episode 2: Monsters Galore

Elise’s Apartment on Forseth St near Gorem Drive…

Elise awakens the next morning to her cat licking her freckled face. She lifts the white tabby cat off of her and sets him on the bed. She, then, slides her feet out of the bed into ragged bunny slippers, the cat has been using them as claw sharpeners.

The cat, Spiro, follows Elise, in her white tanks top and green Tinkerbell pajama pants, into the kitchen where she fixes his bowl of soft cat food, Tuna and Seafood flavor. After plopping it into the bowl, she throws the pull top can away. It smells bad to her. Elise, then, places the bowl in its usual place at the foot of the wall by the counter. Spiro begins to eat it right up.

Elise, then, drags herself across the room from the kitchen to the living room where she slumps onto the black leather hand me down couch. She turns on the TV. There is a breaking story on the news.

“Not again,” she mutters to herself as the news story begins.

The reporter, in a blue sport coat with red tie and white button-down shirt, begins with an image of a silhouette of a person with police caution tape in front and a red word missing across the whole graphic.

“Two more people have disappeared overnight from Cyprus Falls. No bodies have been recovered, thus far. The police are baffled by the rash of disappearances within the last week alone. The citizens of Cyprus Falls are warned not to go out alone, if possible.

“Great,” Elise cynically mutters as Spiro jumps in her lap. She begins to stroke the cat as the phone rings. Elise reaches behind her for the phone and cat jumps out of her lap.

“Hello?” she says picking up the phone.

“I’m watching you.” She hears over the phone. “You’ll be safe.”

“Okay…” she awkwardlly responds to the caller. “Who are you?!?”

“You’re guardian angel,” a melodic voice tells her.

“Hey! You’re that guy…” Elise starts to say as the phone goes silent. “So he is not as rude as I thought. But why is he watching out for me?”

Episode 1: The Prodigal Brother Returns

Cyprus Falls, Lester’s Diner

It was late in the evening, Elise is serving coffee to a strange gentleman on the edge of the small town of Cyprus Falls. The curly brunette waitress, wearing a blue uniform trimmed in white with a white apron, sense something is off about the pale face gentleman to whom she is serving. When the cup reaches half full he stops her.

“Thank you,” his melodic voice says. “That will be all.”

Elise stops pouring the coffee and walks away feeling as though she has just been dismissed making her irked. She continues on over to the counter where a couple of her coworkers, fellow waitresses, are staring at the strange pale faced gentleman. Elise looks at them rather quizzically.

“Don’t bother,” Elise tells the blonde, Heather, and the red-headed, Katie, waitresses.

“Oh?” They both remark with brow raised.

“He’s rude and rather smug.”

“But he is so gorgeous,” Heather says as she plays with her curly locks. “Look at his calm demeanor.”

Another strange pale skinned gentleman, similar in stature, joins the first shortly afterwards. This gentleman, loosely describes him, snaps his fingers for Elise to come back to the table and serve him.

“Brother, why must you always be so rude?” quips the first pale faced gentleman, wearing a fine dark blue blazer with grey shirt underneath and matching dark blue slacks with black boots.

“Ah, come off it, Will,” the black leather jacketed pale face gentleman states as Elise returns to the table a little angry. He motions for the same as his brother. Elise runs to get the coffee and rushes back. She fills his cup nearly full before dismissing her like a servant.

“Robert, she’s not your servant,” William spouts to his younger brother.

“You some sort of saint now?!?” Robert, a blond headed gentleman, tells his brother, the bronze-haired gentleman.

“No. I just think you should use some manners, dear brother.”William says to his younger brother.
